It give me the greatest pleasure to share the experience of my kitchen / main floor remodel with David Thompson and Winds of Change.

When I bought my house in Colorado Springs, I knew right from the start I was going to have the kitchen remodeled. It was a bit of a daunting thought. I had never been through a remodel and the idea of finding the right company was the biggest hurdle for me. I set about looking for the right company and after doing a lot of research and making several phone calls, I had three companies lined up to see in person. Well, I met David Thompson of Winds of Change and that was it. He came with an extensive intake form and lots of questions. Before we ever talked about the specifics of the project, David wanted to know about experienced I had had in the past and what was most important to me in selecting a contractor. The discussion also included the Winds of Change process – a detailed overview from start to finish. I knew immediately, I had found the right partner in David and Winds of Change!

It took a few months to finalize the proposal; this was largely because I had so many questions throughout. David was always available via email and phone to answer my questions patiently and thoroughly and to discuss various aspects of the project and the budget. We finalized the proposal and timeline and off we went! No one likes the disruption of a remodel, but this project was as smooth as I could have ever imagined. Day One was all about protecting my home with temporary doors and floor coverings and then the real work started. My Winds of Change team, John and Patrick, were awsome to work with. John, my Project Manager was detail-oriented and response and patiently answered all of my endless questions. He was onsite every day, we reviewed what the next day would bring. David was by regularly and just a phone call away if I had questions. The work itself was exceptional and the trade partners were top-notch! I loved watching every phase of it from dismantle (yikes!) to completion. I would even say that it was actually rather fun to watch the project unfold! There was no budget surprises and a few small issues that the Winds of Change team handled with full transparency to me and no project delays. The project also included a refresh of the main floor – new powder room, paint, and baseboards. I could not be happier with the outcome of all of it and I’m simply thrilled with my new kitchen, the crowning glory! It is way above my initial vision when I was first thinking remodel and every time I walk into it, I still pause and admire!

Thanks to Winds of Change for making my dream kitchen a reality! I’m already thinking about the next project, and I wholeheartedly recommend Winds of Change for YOUR next project!
